This place was really good. Not too salty nor too oily but definitely tasty . It's a small hole in the wall restaurant that is very popular for locals. The restaurant was full on a Wednesday at 12pm. The waitress was nice. People I came with spoke mandarin so that probably helped. We had a sweet and sour fried pork dish that was excellent. This was our first time here but definitely not our last. Prices were very reasonable. Everyone grabbed food too fast so I didn't get to take any photos.

2/17: Restaurant is still open, incorrectly reported closed. On Friday night at 8pm, this place was packed! It was mostly big family dinners and all Fujianese clientele. They were so busy that no one even saw us for 5 minutes standing, waiting to be seated. You kinda need to wave them down here. Nonetheless, the price was reasonable and food was good. For the two of us, we got the $36 3 dishes, one soup combo and we were allowed to order any dish, not just the ones preset on the menu. We had the bean shoots, squid with celery, steamed marbled goby in dark soy sauce, and oxtail soup. All of them weren't oily and wasn't overly seasoned, but has enough flavor to keep you happy. The goby meat was so tender, just love it! The oxtail soup was very rich in flavor. We also ordered the eight-treasure rice (Ba Bao Fan, $4) which was mostly rice. It was pretty plain, like the frozen ones you get at the supermarket. I got a bowl of white rice to go with my meal, which was free of charge.

Wow! What a gem! This is a small mom and pop shop off the main street. Most people will never find or notice this place. But to people like us, particular to my mother in law, who lofes Fuzhounese food, this is her go to spot for some of her favorite food. Some of the food I have tried this trip were: Fried Oyster Cake - Fried to perfection on the outside with a few drops of peanuts, while the oysters were inside the fillings. You got to eat it while it's still hot. Fried Taro Cake - My wife loves taro so she loved this dish. I am not a big fan of taro but this cake was baked well. Soft and moist and not too sweet at all. Good cake to go with a cup of hot tea House Special Ho Fu - Wow! A nice hot soup during a cold day like the day I visited was heavenly. Hot and delightful soup base with vegetables and soft won ton wraps. Very nice appetizing dish before a meal. Fuzhou Fish Ball - Not just any fish balls, its fish balls Fuzhou style. Not sure what's in it, but it tasted different than any other fish balls I have had. You can't get it anywhere else Fuzhou Won Ton - Unlike any other won tons, these are the best won tons ever. Nice fillings with meats and shrimps with special Fuzhou touch of love. My mother in law always brought 50 of these with her when she and visit us in FL. Yeah! It's that good. Fried Shrimp Rings - Onion rings but take away the onions and put shrimps in instead..LOL! You can't just eat one! Personally I love anything fried. I'd definitely recommend this place to all my fellow Yelpers! If you like Chinese food and wanted to try something different, like the Fuzhou style of cooking, don't wait and run to this place. Trust me you will not regret it!

Great and authentic Fuzhou style Chinese food that reminds me the taste of home back in Fuzhou [x I don't think I would ever walk in this place if my cousin had not promised me of their delicious dishes. It does look shady both inside and out. However, it was a pretty pleasant experience. The service was very nice comparing to other Chinese restaurants around. Foods were quickly brought out and everything tasted delicious and fresh. The seafoods used are purchased from the markets daily. Since we went pretty late at night, they ran out of fresh seafoods. Will come earlier next time to try! Overall, this is a place I'll definitely come back for!! Reasonably priced foods that remind me of home C:
